Course Description : Web Technology introduces both foundational and advanced concepts in web development and internet technologies. Key topics include HTML, CSS, JavaScript, web standards, client-server architecture, web frameworks, responsive design, web services, and security protocols. Students engage in lectures and hands-on projects to apply these concepts, focusing on developing practical skills in creating dynamic and interactive websites. Activities involve designing and implementing web applications, optimizing web performance, and collaborating on projects using modern development tools. The course emphasizes best practices and explores current trends in web development within the ICT field.

Course Objective : This module aims to impart the basic management knowledge, and skills to the students so as to enhance their managerial capabilities and enable them to apply in the practical field

Course Contents:

Unit 1. Unit 1: Introduction to HTML 3 Hrs.

Getting Started with a Simple Web Page, Block and Inline Elements, Presentation and Phrase Elements, Empty and Non-empty Elements, HTML character entities, HTML List, Table, Links (Internal and External), Multimedia Contents (Image, Audio, Video and YouTube Player), Form Elements (text, password, file, radio, checkbox, text area, hidden, select option, button, date, email)

Unit 2. Introduction to Microprocessor 3 Hrs.

Introduction, Basic Block Diagram of a Computer, Organization of a microprocessor-based system, Bus organization, Stored Program Concept and Von-Neumann Machine , Processing Cycle of a Stored Program Computer, Microinstructions and Hardwired/Microprogrammed Control Unit Micro-Operations, Processing Cycle of a Stored Program Computer, Microinstructions and Hardwired/Microprogrammed Control Unit,
Introduction to Register Transfer Language (RTL).

Unit 3. Programming with 8086 Microprocessor 3 Hrs.

Internal Architecture and Features of 8086 Microprocessor, BIU and Components, EU and Components, EU and BIU Operations, Segment and Offset Address, Addressing Modes of 8086, Assembly Language Programming, High Level versus Low Level Programming, Assembly Language Syntax, Comments, Reserved words, Identifiers, Statements, Directives, Operators, Instructions, EXE and COM programs, Assembling, Linking and Executing
One Pass and Two Pass Assemblers, Keyboard and Video Services, Various Programs in 8086, Simple Programs for Arithmetic, Logical, String Input/Output, Conditions and Loops, Array and String Processing

Read and Display ASCII and Decimal Numbers, Displaying Numbers in Binary and Hexadecimal .Formats, Pin Configuration of 8086 Microprocessors
Bus Structure Synchronous Bus, Asynchronous Bus, and Write Bus Timing of 8086 Microprocessors.

Unit 4. Unit 2: Cascading Style Sheet 3 Hrs.

How CSS fit with HTML page, Inline, Internal and External CSS, CSS Selectors, CSS Properties for text, list, table, background, link formatting, Pseudo classes: before, after, first-line, first-letter, hover, focus, active, Custom list numbering using content property, CSS Box Model: margin, padding and border, Creating Layouts with display, position and float property, Fixed and Liquid design of the page.

Unit 5. Central Processing unit 3 Hrs.

CPU Structure and Function, Arithmetic and logic Unit, Stack, Processor organization, Register organization, Instruction formats, Addressing modes,
Data transfer and manipulation, RISC and CISC, 64-Bit Processor.

Unit 6. Unit 3: Client Side Programming with JavaScript 3 Hrs.

How JavaScript fits into a web page?, JavaScript Basics: Variable, operators, Understanding the Document Object Model (DOM), Accessing HTML Elements with getElementById(), getElementsByClassName(), getElementsByName(), getElementsByTagName(), JavaScript objects: window, document, array, string, math, date, Writing scripts to handle events, Using JavaScript to validate user inputs.

Unit 7. Control Unit 3 Hrs.

Control Memory, Addressing sequencing, Computer configuration, Microinstruction Format, Symbolic Microinstructions, Symbolic Micro program, Control Unit Operation, Design of control unit.

Unit 8. Computer Arithmetic 3 Hrs.

Addition Algorithm, Subtraction Algorithm, Multiplication Algorithm, Division Algorithm, Logical Operations.
