Course Description : English Language-I introduces key concepts in English language teaching, focusing on phonetics, syntax, and semantics, along with language acquisition theories. It covers essential communication skills like listening, speaking, reading, and writing, and explores effective teaching strategies for grammar and vocabulary. The course also includes practical approaches to lesson planning, classroom management, and assessment, preparing students to design and deliver English lessons effectively.

Course Objective : This module aims to impart the basic management knowledge, and skills to the students so as to enhance their managerial capabilities and enable them to apply in the practical field

Course Contents:
Unit 1. Grammar 3 Hrs.

Tenses, Modals, Questions, multi-words, verbs and verb structures, Determiners and prepositions, Adjectives, adverbs, Passive and conditionals, Word formation and sentences.
Unit 2. Vocabulary 3 Hrs.

Working with academic vocabulary, Word combinations, Vocabulary at academic institutions, Ways of talking about, Opinions and ideas, Functions, Reading and vocabulary, Reference.
Unit 3. Reading 3 Hrs.

Determining co-references, Matching things, Understanding instructions, Unscrambling texts and anagrams, Scanning: locating and extracting information, Skimming: finding out main point and the central idea, Drawing inferences and implications, Assessing opinions and attitudes, Solving problems and puzzles.
Unit 4. Writing 3 Hrs.
