Course Description : 21st Century Life Skills introduces both foundational and advanced concepts essential for thriving in today's rapidly evolving world. Key topics include critical thinking, problem-solving, effective communication, collaboration, creativity, digital literacy, adaptability, leadership, and emotional intelligence. Students engage in lectures and interactive workshops to apply these concepts, focusing on developing practical skills relevant to the modern workplace and society. Activities involve collaborative projects, real-world simulations, utilizing digital tools, and reflecting on personal and professional growth. The course emphasizes best practices and explores current trends in skill development necessary for success within the ICT industry and beyond.

Course Objective : This module aims to impart the basic management knowledge, and skills to the students so as to enhance their managerial capabilities and enable them to apply in the practical field

Course Contents:

Unit 1. Unit I: Introduction to 21st CS 3 Hrs.

Definition of 21st CS, Components of 21st CS: 4C, IMT, FLIPS, National Curriculum framework and 21st CS, ATC21s 21st Century Skills, Broad Outcomes of 21st Century Skills.

Unit 2. Unit II: Critical Thinking, Creativity and Innovation 3 Hrs.

Concept of argument, Example of good vs bad argument, Rational discussion and reply rationally to an argument, Deductive arguments vs non-deductive arguments, Critical thinking activities in classroom, Concept of innovation and creativity, Creativity, innovation and learning, Classroom Activities of creativities and innovation, Classroom Activities on creativity and innovation.

Unit 3. Unit III: Communication, collaboration and media literacy 3 Hrs.

Component of Communication, Types of communication media, Concept of collaboration, Social media and collaboration practices, Classroom collaboration, Concept of media literacy for learner, Digital citizen and netiquettes, Application of create, publish, share audio, video materials. Classroom activities on publishing students portfolios in online,

Unit 4. Unit IV: e-Leadership and Responsibility 3 Hrs.

Concept of e-leaderships in education, Characteristics of 21st Century leadership, Learning flexibility and adaptability, Self-directed leader, Self-director learning classroom activities, Classroom activities on 21st Century leadeship.

Unit 5. Unit V: Social and Cross-Cultural Interaction 3 Hrs.

Concept of digital culture and global villages, Ethical issues of cross culture interaction, Privacy and freedom of expression in digital world, Cultural difference and Privacy, Classroom Activities on ethical issues, privacy and freedom of expression on online beahaviours.

Unit 6. Unit VI 3 Hrs.

Case Study on Critical Thinking, Creativity, Innovation, and Collaboration Practices in the Classroom Using Digital Technology
