Course Description : Programming Concept with C introduces the fundamentals of programming using the C language. The course covers basic programming constructs such as variables, data types, loops, functions, and arrays. Students will learn about pointers, memory management, and file handling, gaining a deep understanding of how to write efficient code. The course emphasizes problem-solving techniques and algorithm development, providing a solid foundation for further study in programming and software development. Practical lab sessions focus on hands-on coding experience in C.

Course Objective : This module aims to impart the basic management knowledge, and skills to the students so as to enhance their managerial capabilities and enable them to apply in the practical field

Course Contents:

Unit 1. Introduction to Programming Concept 3 Hrs.

Introduction of Programming Language, Assembler, Compiler and Interpreter.Syntax and Semantics Algorithm, Flow char Pseudo codes

Unit 2. Introduction to C 3 Hrs.

History of C Programme, Basic Structure of C Programme, Character set, Token and Comments, Variables and Constants, Data Types. Type Conversion, Input and Output, Operators, Arithmetic, Relational, Logic, Increment/Decrement, Assignment, Bitwise

Unit 3. Control Structure 3 Hrs.

Control Structure (14), Selective Structure, If statement, If-else statement, Nested if-else statement4 Switch statement, Conditional operator (:?),
Looping structure, While Loop, Do-while loop, For loop4 Nested Loops.

Unit 4. Function 3 Hrs.

Function, Function Concept, Function prototype, call and definition, Different ways of using function, Call by value, call by reference, Recursion.

Unit 5. Array, Pointer and String 3 Hrs.

Array, Pointer and String, Concept of array, Array declare, access and initialization, multi-dimensional array, Concept of Pointer, Pointer address, dereference, declaration, assignment, initialization, Pointer Arithmetic, Array and Pointer, String, String functions in C, Pointer and String.
